bowl in walnut

I'm not a trained tree surgeon so when I was asked to cut the wood from a fallen, but leaning tree I was somewhat cautious - you just don't know where the stresses are in the wood.  The result was worth it - this spectacular piece of wood was a pleasure to work with and I'm very pleased with the result.
 
The diameter is 47cm and it is 12.5cm tall.
